Certificates Mexico asks for
Until a factory confirms the certificate to us in writing, that family is not offered for Mexico. What is «on enquiry» can be ordered: we confirm it before the proforma.
If you already hold the certificate for a family, tell us and we will check it.
Mexico's tariff from 1 January 2026
A decree published in the Diario Oficial on 29 December 2025 raised the general tariff on a long list of tariff lines, to rates between 5 % and 50 %. It applies to goods from countries without a free trade agreement with Mexico, such as China, India and Turkey, where our catalog comes from. What counts is the country of origin, not that a Spanish company invoices you.
Some lines of the decree that touch our catalog (not the full list):
| What you buy | Tariff line | General tariff 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Plastic folders, sleeves and office or school articles | 3926.10.01 | 30 % |
| Binders, folders and covers of paper or board | 4820.30.01 | 25 % |
| Receipt books, pads, diaries and similar | 4820.10.02 | 25 % |
| Envelopes | 4817.10.01 | 25 % |
| Bagasse plates, bowls and containers (moulded paper pulp) | 4823.70.99 | 25 % |
| Paper or board cups, plates and bowls | 4823.69.99 | 25 % |
| Plastic cups, cutlery and tableware (PET, PP, PLA) | 3924.10.01 | 25 % |
| Plastic caps and closures | 3923.50.01 | 25 % |
| Self-adhesive tape in rolls up to 20 cm | 3919.10.01 | 7 % |
| Vinyl and polyethylene gloves | 3926.20.99 | 25 % |
Unchanged by this decree: LED lamps (9405), electrical switching and protection apparatus (8536), ballpoint pens (9608), pencils (9609), locks (8301) and nitrile and latex gloves (4015). Your customs agent confirms the tariff line (HS code) and the duty of each line: the proforma carries the HS code of every line.
